On February 3, 2025, Jauzaa Maylia Suhendro, S.T., M.T. and Ni Wayan Nanik Suaryani Taro Putri, S.M., M.M. conducted a Community Service Program (PKM) titled “Developing the Potential of SMK Pandawa Bali Global Students as Young Technopreneurs through the Business Model Canvas (BMC) Approach.” This activity was organized as part of Primakara University’s commitment to strengthening community engagement in education, particularly in preparing vocational school students to face the increasingly competitive and technology-driven global economy. The program was designed to not only introduce entrepreneurial concepts but also to provide practical, structured, and applicable knowledge that can be directly implemented by students in developing business ideas. Through this program, students were equipped with a comprehensive understanding of technopreneurship, which integrates entrepreneurial thinking with the effective use of technology. A key focus of the training was the Business Model Canvas (BMC), a strategic framework that helps in designing and visualizing business models in a clear and systematic way. Students were guided in detail to understand each essential component of BMC, including customer segments, value propositions, channels, customer relationships, revenue streams, key resources, key activities, key partnerships, and cost structures.
In addition to theoretical understanding, the program placed strong emphasis on hands-on practice. Students were encouraged to actively participate in group discussions, brainstorming sessions, and guided workshops where they could directly apply the BMC framework to their own business ideas. This approach enabled them to translate abstract concepts into concrete business models that are both innovative and feasible. The training also encouraged students to develop a more critical and analytical mindset in identifying real-world problems and turning them into business opportunities. They were guided to think creatively and explore how technology can be utilized to provide effective and efficient solutions in various industries. This process helped students build confidence in expressing their ideas and strengthened their ability to work collaboratively in teams. Furthermore, the program highlighted the importance of adaptability in the rapidly evolving digital economy. Students were introduced to the concept of dynamic business strategy development, where continuous innovation and responsiveness to market changes are essential for business sustainability. They were also encouraged to develop strong entrepreneurial values such as resilience, problem-solving skills, and innovation-driven thinking. By the end of the program, students of SMK Pandawa Bali Global are expected to have a stronger foundation in entrepreneurship and technology-based business development. More importantly, they are encouraged to see themselves not only as future job seekers but as potential job creators who are capable of contributing to economic growth through innovative business ideas. Through this initiative, it is hoped that the students will grow into a generation of young technopreneurs who are creative, innovative, competitive, and well-prepared to navigate the challenges and opportunities of the modern business landscape.
