KARANGASEM - To strengthen the competitiveness of local cultural heritage in the digital era, a team of lecturers from Primakara University carried out a community service initiative funded by the BIMA Grant (Hibah BIMA). The training and mentoring program was delivered to traditional Gringsing woven fabric artisans in Tenganan Village, Karangasem Regency, focusing on digital marketing and financial literacy.
The initiative was chaired by Putri Anugrah Cahya Dewi, M.Pd., supported by team member I Gede Wirya Mahendra Nandanawana Putra, S.Kom., M.Sn., and featured Ida Bagus Ardhi Putra, S.Kom., M.Pd. as the main speaker.
Through interactive sessions, the artisans were equipped with practical skills designed to modernize their business operations:
Digital Marketing Strategies: Utilizing social media and digital platforms to reach broader domestic and international markets.
Financial Literacy & Management: Learning structured bookkeeping and financial management to build sustainable business practices.
This initiative highlights Primakara University's dedication to community empowerment and micro, small, and medium enterprise (MSME) development. By bridging modern technology with traditional craftsmanship, the project not only helps Gringsing woven fabrics adapt to the digital landscape but also ensures the long-term preservation of a priceless cultural tradition.

As part of a community service initiative, the program equipped young students with practical skills in Lean BMC, basic financial management, and professional business pitching.
