On February 5, 2025, I Gst. Agung Pramesti Dwi Putri, S.E., M.Si. and A.A. Istri Ita Paramitha, S.Pd., M.Kom. conducted a Community Service Program (PKM) titled “Enhancing Digital Literacy to Foster a Digitally Competent Generation at SMA Negeri 2 Sukawati.”
This program was designed as part of efforts to strengthen digital literacy competencies among high school students in response to the rapid advancement of technology and the increasing demands of the digital era. Through this activity, students were provided with comprehensive training aimed at building a strong foundation of digital skills that are essential for their academic, personal, and future professional development.
The training covered a wide range of important topics, including responsible and ethical use of digital technology, awareness of digital security risks, and best practices for maintaining online safety. Students were guided on how to protect personal data, avoid digital threats such as cyber fraud and misinformation, and develop responsible digital behavior in their daily online activities.
Furthermore, the program emphasized the importance of critical thinking skills in evaluating and filtering digital information. In an era where information is widely accessible, students were trained to distinguish between credible sources and misleading content, enabling them to become more informed and discerning digital users.
Participants were also introduced to various ways in which digital platforms can be effectively utilized to support learning processes, personal development, and future career opportunities. This includes the use of digital tools for research, collaboration, content creation, and building personal portfolios that can support their academic and professional growth.
In addition, the program encouraged students to harness digital technology not only for academic purposes but also to enhance creativity and productivity in extracurricular and everyday activities. By integrating digital tools into their learning habits, students are expected to become more innovative and adaptive in solving problems.
Through the strengthening of digital literacy competencies provided in this program, it is expected that students of SMA Negeri 2 Sukawati will grow into individuals who are critical, creative, and intelligent in utilizing technology. Ultimately, they are expected to be better prepared to face future challenges and opportunities in an increasingly complex and technology-driven digital world.
