Primakara University once again served as a strategic academic forum for high-level discussions on strengthening Indonesia’s creative economy and accelerating digital transformation. On Friday, October 31, 2025, the university had the honor of welcoming the Deputy Minister of Communication and Digital Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, Mr. Nezar Patria, S.Fil., M.Sc., M.B.A., for a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) on the Development of Bali’s Creative and Digital Economy.
The event brought together academic leaders, industry practitioners, and policymakers to explore strategic directions for developing a more competitive and sustainable digital ecosystem in Bali and Indonesia at large. The discussion highlighted the importance of cross-sector collaboration in fostering innovation and strengthening the creative industry as one of the key pillars of national economic growth.
During his presentation, Mr. Nezar Patria emphasized several critical aspects in building a robust digital economy, including the development of high-quality digital talent, strengthening data security systems, and the strategic utilization of emerging technologies such as blockchain and artificial intelligence (AI). These technologies, he noted, play a significant role in driving innovation and enhancing the competitiveness of the creative economy in the global landscape.
In line with these discussions, Primakara University reaffirmed its commitment to actively contributing to the advancement of research, education, and talent development in the fields of technology and the creative economy. The university continues to strengthen collaborations with government institutions, industry partners, and other stakeholders to support Indonesia’s digital transformation agenda.

On May 19, 2026, I Gede Putu Krisna Juliharta, S.T., M.T., a lecturer at Primakara University and Chairman of the Bali ICT Volunteers, delivered an educational workshop on the importance of information security and personal data protection in the digital era at Tibubeneng Village. The workshop addressed various topics related to citizen data management, the implementation of Indonesia’s Personal Data Protection Law (PDP Law), and secure strategies for delivering digital-based village services. Participants were encouraged to understand the importance of safeguarding the confidentiality of citizens’ data and the preventive measures needed to reduce the risk of data breaches within village government institutions. Through the collaboration between Primakara University and the Bali ICT Volunteers, this initiative aimed to enhance awareness and strengthen the readiness of village officials in adapting to digital transformation while prioritizing security, accountability, and the protection of community data.
