In today’s rapidly evolving digital era, the ability to combine entrepreneurial thinking with technological skills has become increasingly essential, especially for vocational students preparing to enter the workforce. The Business Model Canvas (BMC) plays a crucial role in helping entrepreneurs structure and visualize business strategies in a clear and systematic way. At the same time, the emergence of Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) offers new opportunities to explore creative ideas and accelerate innovation in business development. Responding to these opportunities, Primakara University collaborated with SMKN 1 Kuta Selatan through a Community Service Program (Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat/PKM) by organizing a workshop titled “Enhancing Vocational Students’ Technopreneurship through Business Model Canvas (BMC) and Generative AI.” The workshop was successfully held on March 4, 2026, at SMKN 1 Kuta Selatan, with the aim of equipping students with practical knowledge and skills relevant to the digital business landscape. The program was led by Primakara University lecturers, Jauzaa Maylia Suhendro, S.T., M.T., and Ni Wayan Nanik Suaryani Taro Putri, S.M., M.M., who delivered comprehensive and interactive sessions. During the workshop, students were introduced to the key components of the Business Model Canvas, including customer segments, value propositions, channels, customer relationships, revenue streams, key resources, key activities, key partnerships, and cost structures. This approach enabled students to understand how to design and develop business ideas in a structured and strategic manner.
In addition to BMC, the session also highlighted the use of Generative AI as a tool to support the creative process in entrepreneurship. Students were guided on how AI can be utilized to generate business ideas, develop marketing concepts, and analyze market opportunities more efficiently. Practical demonstrations were provided to ensure that participants could directly experience how these technologies can be applied in real-world scenarios. The workshop was conducted in an engaging and participatory manner, encouraging students to actively contribute through discussions, idea exploration, and simple hands-on exercises. This interactive approach helped foster a deeper understanding of both entrepreneurial concepts and technological applications. Through this initiative, students are expected to strengthen their technopreneurship mindset and enhance their readiness to face the challenges of the digital economy. Furthermore, the program aims to inspire students to become more innovative, adaptive, and confident in leveraging technology to create sustainable business opportunities. This activity reflects Primakara University’s ongoing commitment to supporting education and community development through meaningful collaborations. By integrating entrepreneurship and technology, the university continues to contribute to the creation of a future-ready generation capable of driving innovation and economic growth.
